Yiwu (义乌)

 Yiwu City

Yiwu (义乌) is a county-level city in central Zhejiang Province some 100 km south of Hangzhou. It is home to the world’s largest small commodities market, the Yiwu International Trade City.

Yiwu is renowned for its international trade and entrepreneurship. In particular, there has been an influx of Middle Eastern traders after United States tightened its visa requirements. There are sizable Chinese Muslim and Korean populations here and foreign restaurants are widely available.

The Yiwu International Trade City housed numerous wholesale stalls divided according to product categories. These categories include jewelries, bags, fashion, toys, arts and crafts, umbrellas, clocks, small appliances and etc.

There are also vibrant night markets around the city after sunset for local residents and retail customers.
