The territory comprises of 4 major parts; the Hong Kong Island, the Kowloon Peninsula, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands. Majority of the international banks and large multinationals in Hong Kong are congregated on the Hong Kong Island, which is the earliest segment of the original British’s colony.
Majority of Hong Kong’s surface area are steep and undulating hills that are uninhabitable and underdeveloped. As a result of the severe lack of space, Hong Kong has developed into the most ‘vertical city’ in the world with dense constructions of extremely high skyscrapers.
